The herb is popularly called the West African cherry orange in West Africa while in Uganda it is known as a sex tree or omuboro. Hannington Oryem - Orida, a professor of botany at Makerere University only compares this drug to Viagra saying it has immense potential as medicine.
The plant is being harvested faster than it can reproduce in Mabira Forest (one of Uganda’s only surviving natural forests). They uproot the herb and chew its leaves while fresh or they pound it and mix it with water to form the aphrodisiac concoction that is sought after so hard in Uganda. They have used it for ages to enhance their sexual prowess.Uses
Omuboro is used for increasing the men’s libido by improving the levels of testosterone in the blood. Higher concentrations of testosterone in the blood stimulate sexual desires in the man and in this way enhance their libido. The sex tree herb is also a remedy for impotence. It has immense potential of inducing vasodilation of the erectile tissues of the penis with simultaneous relaxation of the corpus carvenosum. The erectile tissues are then filled with blood achieving a perfect, long lasting erection.
